Women's World Cup Brazil 2027: Faculty-Led Study Program in Rio de Janeiro
Destination Partners runs an 8-day, 7-night faculty-led study program in Rio de Janeiro built around the Women's World Cup Brazil 2027 (June 24 to July 25, 2027). Groups of 12 to 15 students and 2 faculty leaders combine two academic days at a Rio de Janeiro university with visits to the CBF headquarters, the Museu da Seleção Brasileira and Maracanã Stadium. We handle lodging, ground transport, guides and a local coordinator, so faculty can focus on teaching.
Why Brazil 2027 works as an academic program
The 2027 tournament is the first Women's World Cup held in South America, with 32 teams and 8 host cities. Rio de Janeiro's Maracanã hosts 8 matches, from the opening match with Brazil on June 24 to the Final on July 25. For sports management, event operations, tourism, and Latin American studies courses, it is a live case study of a mega-event.
