Iceland is a small country with a lot to offer visitors. It is filled with amazing sites such as volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, waterfalls and lava fields. The diverse scenery allows visitors to see a large variety of landscape within a short distance from the capital Reykjavik. This coupled with the ever changing weather makes Iceland a unique destination for travelers to experience.

Compared to other European locations Iceland is a more expensive destination. However, a variety of good 3-4 star hotels can be found centrally located near Laugaveugr, a shopping street that offers multiple restaurant and souvenir shopping options. Day trips can be done from Reykjavik or you can do short overnight trips outside of the city as a way to reduce accommodation costs since hotels just outside of the capital tend to be better priced.
